I’m not going to lie, I’m a pretty decent cook at home. But that doesn’t mean very thing I cook turns out tasting great. I’m not the type of person that can just look in the pantry and throw something together. I spend time finding a recipe and reading reviews. Most recipes typically turn out and if they don’t I will never make them again. From time to time, I can even modify recipes to make them taste better.
I spent every weekend the last two months researching dog treat recipes and modifying them to make them better. Believe me my dog has loved the process from start to finish. My cooking has never led my friends or family running for the hills, and now my dog believes that I’m world’s greatest chef. Dogs are kind of awesome like that.
Before we get to my top CBD dog treat recipes, maybe you are wondering why it is important to know why CBD is beneficial for your dog. Click here to learn about the benefits and risks to your dog.
If you have never made your own dog treats before I suggest starting with the ones listed below. I would recommend these recipes to anyone regardless of their baking skills. Each recipe only has a hand full of ingredients and have simple directions. Who doesn’t love simple?
The five recipes listed below have eight or less ingredients, even a novice cook can make them. If for some chance the treats don’t turn out the way you think they should have, your dog will love them just the same.
Some of the recipes call for special items to form them. Like paw print tray, dog bone cutters or mini Christmas cookie cutters. If you don’t have them, substitutes can be made. Ice cube trays can be used instead of the paw print tray. If you don’t have the dog bone cutter or mini Christmas cookie cutters, you can make small round treats by hand.
